Somewhere along the way — with DAWs in every bedroom and plug-ins for everything — making music got lonely. That's not a criticism of home studios. It's just a fact about what gets lost when you create alone. Fresh Lime Studios exists to fix that.
We're nine people, all 25–26, all musicians first. Producers, engineers, session players, and a lyricist — all in one basement in Saket. The brief has always been simple: make something great and actually have fun doing it. Whether you're an indie artist on your first EP, a brand needing a campaign score, or a filmmaker chasing a Dolby Atmos mix — you walk into a room full of people who genuinely care about what you're making.
The studio was built from the ground up on a floating shell architecture — floors, walls, and ceilings all suspended from the raw building, creating the acoustic conditions followed by the world's best rooms. Built by the same team behind studios for AR Rahman, Shadab Rayeen, and Shankar Mahadevan. Then Dolby came and certified it. Then Neumann partnered with us. The room earns it.

I'm a singer, songwriter, producer and mixing engineer, and for a long time I was all of those at once, by myself. Guitar came first, over a decade of it, then drums, composition, vocals, then the board, then even the edits and the artwork. That range took me to Berklee's Valencia campus in Spain for a Master's in Music Production, Technology and Innovation. I spent a year and a half there.
The name is less serious than the room. Fresh Lime Soda is my favourite drink. I wanted to call the studio something close to what I love, and that was that.
The reason behind it was serious though. I spent years moving between Mumbai and Delhi, and I kept landing on the same feeling. Delhi was short on rooms that paired real quality with a team that actually enjoyed the work. The studios I walked into were run by people genuinely good at their craft, but the sound coming out of them belonged to another decade. I felt I understood where music had moved. A few people around me did too.
So I built the room I wanted to work in. Not a rental with one engineer and a coordinator, but a band of specialists who make a record together. It took me years to learn this: you can track anything at home now, the gear is everywhere. But a song stays fuller, faster and more alive when there are people in the room, each great at their own thing, instead of one person second-guessing every small decision alone.
That is what current sound really means here. It is not the preamp or the legacy mic, even though we have the best of them. It is the people who know what is working right now, what the artist is reaching for, and what is true to them today.
We launched in November 2024. In our first stretch we went from just me to nine. Most rooms run on an engineer or two and a coordinator. We are nine people with nine different skillsets, some with years behind them, some early and hungry with something to prove, working with everyone from A-list names to first-time indies.
